Research and Work
My research is centered around various environmental policy and justice dimensions. Some recent work is devoted to examining energy policy, particularly focusing on the implications of fracking and oil extraction on environmental justice within the U.S. My primary interests, however, are in collaborative governance, specifically in the realm of water policy.
One of my ongoing projects delves into analyzing policy outputs and outcomes derived from collaborative watershed management efforts. The primary objective of this study is to understand collaborative actions on water quality. This national-scale project examines collaborations across multiple watersheds throughout the U.S. and is under contract with Cambridge University Press.
Recent Interests
Lately, my interests are focusing more on collaborative governance, environmental justice, and policy outcomes in water resource and energy governance. I'm particularly interested in understanding the dynamics of collaborative governance across various watersheds, with a focus on how diverse stakeholder involvement can enhance resilience and equity in public administration.
I'm also delving into the effectiveness of Real-Time Crime Centers (RTCCs) and Integrated Crime Centers (ICCs) in supporting public safety, while examining their impact on equity and community relations. It's an exciting time for public administration, and I'm dedicated to contributing to these rapidly evolving areas of policy research.
Ongoing Work
- Investigating the role of collaborative governance in water quality management across multiple watersheds in the U.S.
- Exploring the impact of policy changes on environmental justice and spatial modeling in oil and gas extraction regions.
- Studying the effectiveness of Real-Time and Integrated Crime Centers (ICCs) and their impact on public safety, equity, and organizational cooperation.
- Developing strategies for economic resilience and transition in fossil fuel-dependent regions as part of efforts to reach a net-zero emissions future.
