About Me
I teach in the Division of Politics, Administration & Justice at Cal State Fullerton, where I focus on public administration, public policy, and collaborative governance. I earned my Ph.D. in Public Policy and Public Administration from Auburn University. My work centers on how we govern collaboratively and build better policies that serve communities.
More About Me
I research environmental policy, focusing on water resources and collaborative governance. My work explores how effective policy comes from strong partnerships and meaningful community input. I also bring that to the classroom, helping students think about how policy shapes the world and how we can improve it.
Outside of research and teaching, I advise Pi Alpha Alpha and Pi Sigma Alpha, where I get to support students in leadership and academic development. When I’m not on campus, I’m spending time with my daughters, cooking, wrangling pets, or volunteering with environmental and community groups.
Life's a Trip
Living in Southern California means beaches, mountains, deserts, and great food all within reach. It’s a unique place and one I’ve come to love.
But my roots are in the South. Life moves slower there—slow food, long stories, and time spent with people who matter. Southerners tell the best stories and cook the best food. If you want a taste of that, check out The Bitter Southerner . It’s worth your time.
